Straight answer

Will duct cleaning lower my energy bill?

Usually not by much on its own. Most of the efficiency gain comes from a clean blower, coil and filter, not clean ducts. If you want lower bills, pair your duct cleaning with a furnace or heat pump tune-up. We'll tell you honestly if your ducts don't need cleaning.

Pair it with a tune-up

A tune-up cleans and checks the blower, coil and filter, the parts that actually affect your bill.

Questions

Air duct cleaning questions

How much does duct cleaning cost?

Duct cleaning at Comfort 360 starts at $450 per system. The final price depends on the size of your home, the number of vents and how easy the ducts are to reach. You get the price before we start.

How often should I have my ducts cleaned?

Many homes go several years between cleanings. A dusty remodel, pets, smoke or a rodent problem can shorten that. Not sure? We'll look inside your ducts and show you photos. If they don't need cleaning yet, we'll tell you.

Will duct cleaning help with allergies?

It removes the dust and debris built up in your ducts, but no study has shown duct cleaning prevents health problems. For allergies, a better filter or a whole-home air cleaner does more every day. Ask us about both.

Do you deodorize or treat the ducts?

Yes, at no extra charge. After cleaning, we can apply an EPA-registered deodorizer to your ducts, free with every duct cleaning. It treats odors at the source, with no added perfume. It's your choice: if you'd rather skip it, just tell your technician.

Do you clean dryer vents?

Yes. A clogged dryer vent makes your dryer run longer and is a fire risk. We clean your dryer vent with every duct cleaning, as long as it's accessible.

Do you offer duct cleaning in Portland?

Yes. We clean ducts across Vancouver, Camas, Ridgefield, Battle Ground and the rest of Clark County, and in Portland and the surrounding Oregon suburbs. See all of our service areas.
